A Fort Myers man is wanted for dodging a warrant after violating probation on grand theft and burglary charges.
According to SWFL Crime Stoppers, Darius Rutledge, 32, and his accomplice stole two e-bikes from a San Carlos Park home that were stored in the carport.
Crime Stoppers states detectives used nearby traffic cameras to catch Rutledge wheeling the bikes away.
He was in jail for five months, after which he was placed on two years of state probation.
Crime Stoppers states one week later, Rutledge failed to show up for a mandated drug test and stopped communicating with his probation officer. This triggered a new warrant for his arrest.
Rutledge 17 priors for drugs, battery, burglary, theft, disorderly intoxication and DUI.
He is 5 feet, 10 inches tall and weighs 130 pounds, with a tattoo of "Jesus 23" on his left hand, "239 Mob" on his right hand, and "Rutledge Boy" inked on his arms.
