A school resource officer saved the life of a 3-year-old boy on Thursday, Jan. 14.
According to the Lee County Sheriff's Office, Deputy Kvaley was patrolling the Lee County School District’s main office when a woman told him her son was not breathing.
LCSO said Kvaley took the toddler, who was unresponsive and seizing, out of his stroller and began giving him aid.
Kvaley positioned the toddler so his airway was no longer obstructed and stayed with the mother until EMS arrived.
Kvaley is a 22-year veteran of the Lee County Sheriff's Office and currently serves as a valued member of our Youth Services Division as a School Resource Officer.
