Investigation underway at Fort Myers Bass Pro Shops following employee death

An employee was found unresponsive while working at Bass Pro Shops in Gulf Coast Town Center on Thursday. According to the Lee County Sheriff's Office, the decedent was found by a store team lead lying on the ground of the stockroom. LCSO stated the person was believed to be alone for 20 minutes before being found. Lehigh Rescue arrived and attempted life-saving measures before the person was taken to Gulf Coast Medical Center.
