The construction of a new Cape Coral traffic signal is scheduled to begin Wednesday, meaning some speed limits and detours will be in place.
The city of Cape Coral says the traffic signal is being placed at Del Prado Boulevard and Averill Boulevard.
According to the city, the speed limit on Del Prado Boulevard approaching Averill Boulevard will be reduced from 50 mph to 35 mph.
Left turns from Averill Boulevard onto northbound Del Prado Boulevard will be restricted.
The traffic signal is set to be completed in April 2025.
Detour:
Drivers should use Del Prado Boulevard from the Gator Circle area by using the signal at Del Prado Boulevard and De Navarra Parkway.
