Tito Ortiz, UFC legend and Cape Coral business owner, will be the Grand Marshal for the 87th Annual Edison Festival of Light Grand Parade.
According to the Edison Festival of Light organization, Ortiz is a former mixed martial arts champion and UFC hall of famer who has embraced a new fight: inspiring the next generation.
Since moving to Cape Coral in 2022, he has become a prominent local figure through his business ventures, community engagement, and mentorship.
Ortiz, a former UFC Light Heavyweight World Champion, owns Cape Coral restaurant Tito’s Cantina.
Ortiz is also the head assistant wrestling coach at Ida Baker High School, where he mentors young athletes.
Ortiz relocated to Cape Coral after witnessing the resilience of its residents during the aftermath of Hurricane Ian, the news release said. Touched by the unity and strength of the community, he decided to make the area home, moving his family from California.
The Edison Festival of Light Grand Parade will take place in downtown Fort Myers on February 15 from 7 - 10 p.m.
