A Fort Myers woman pleaded guilty after shooting and injuring one person in downtown Fort Myers in August 2022.
According to the Fort Myers Police Department, Jasmine Battle, 32, was wanted in connection with the shooting. She later turned herself in and was taken to the Lee County Jail.
The victim suffered non-life-threatening injuries in the shooting, according to police.
Battle was charged with aggravated battery, shooting at or into an occupied vehicle and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
She was sentenced to 144 months — 12 years — in prison.
Battle will serve her sentence, followed by 10 years of probation.
She will have no contact with the victims, stay away from the location of the offense and have a 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. curfew.
Battle must undergo anger management, fulfill 100 hours of community service and be designated a habitual felony offender.
