Collier County deputies arrested a woman on multiple drug-related charges after deputies discovered a large amount of controlled substances in her possession during a traffic stop in Immoaklee.
According to the Collier County Sheriff’s Office, deputies stopped Divi Batista, 44, around 8:15 p.m. on Carson Road after noticing she was riding a bicycle without the required rear red light.
During the stop, deputies asked Batista if she had any drugs on her. Deputies said she reached into her shoulder bag and pulled out a used crack pipe with residue.
Deputies then conducted a search of her bag, where they said they found methamphetamine, cocaine, crack cocaine and 8.1 grams of hydrocodone — an amount that qualifies for a drug trafficking charge.
Batista was arrested and is facing multiple charges, including:
- Trafficking a controlled substance (hydrocodone)
- Possession of methamphetamine
- Possession of cocaine
- Possession of crack cocaine
