Drivers will need to slow down as construction begins Wednesday at Averill Boulevard and Del Prado Boulevard, where crews will be installing a new traffic signal.
While work hasn’t started yet, drivers should prepare for some changes beginning Wednesday.
First, the speed limit on Del Prado Boulevard approaching Averill Boulevard will be reduced from 50 mph to 35 mph during construction.
Additionally, left turns from northbound Averill Boulevard onto Del Prado Boulevard will be restricted during this time.
The city is encouraging drivers in the Gator Circle area to use the signal at Del Prado Boulevard and De Navarra Parkway to access Del Prado Boulevard, which may help save time.
Crews will begin placing traffic control devices on Wednesday, and the new traffic signal is expected to be completed by April.
