More than 50 Gulf Coast students recently put on what they called a “Senior Senior Prom” in Cape Coral. In Positively Southwest Florida, we're following up on a story we first brought you last week.Prom came early for seniors living at Palmview at Gulf Coast Village. It's an assisted living and memory support community in Cape Coral. We told you last week about the more than 50 students who were planning to put on a prom here as part of a service-learning project. Those students attend Oasis High School. The community partnered with the school in October to make it happen. Before the big event, students in the JROTC program went through special training to understand the challenges senior citizens may live with. That education helped prepare them for the special party.
