Law enforcement is searching for the man accused of abducting a toddler from her mother on Tuesday.
According to Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers, Luis Valentin, 24, got into a verbal argument with the girl's mother that turned physical.
Crime Stoppers states Valentin decided to grab the girl and run.
Fortunately, he asked a family member to return her a few hours later, but he has been on the run since Tuesday.
Valentin faces charges of kidnapping, aggravated battery on a pregnant victim, and child neglect.
He has already established himself as a violent offender, with priors in Lee and Hendry counties. His first serious run-in with the law was during high school when he threatened to kill a school resource officer. Since then, he has been arrested for the possession and sale/delivery of drugs.
He’s also been sent to prison for just over three years on charges of armed robbery, burglary, and aggravated battery on a senior citizen.
Valentin is 6 feet tall, with a collection of tattoos, including a 5-point crown and a ski mask with a shotgun on his right arm, roses and a skull on his chest, and "love king" written on his fingers.
