A precautionary boil water notice is in effect from Sterling Avenue to the south end of Fort Myers Beach due to a water main break.
According to the Town of Fort Myers Beach, there are areas on the island that do not have water or have low water pressure and utility crews are working to repair this.
Officials said there needs to be two consecutive days of satisfactory water samples before the boil water notice is lifted.
