Peace River Wildlife Center recently set out to save one baby great horned owl but made a surprising discovery in the process.
After the center got a call about a young owl that had fallen from its nest, the team made the trip from Punta Gorda to Avon Park to save the young owl. After taking care of the owl overnight, when the rehab staff member went to return the bird to its nest, they discovered another owlet. Both babies are in good health and are safe back in the nest with their parents.
