A man is accused of leading police on multiple chases through Cape Coral before crashing a stolen truck and running away late Saturday night.

According to the Cape Coral Police Department, an officer attempted to pull over the driver of a 2015 white GMC Sierra near Nicholas Parkway West and SW 1st Street around 11:25 p.m. after noticing a broken taillight and erratic driving.
The driver initially stopped, but then, they say he sped off.
Police later linked the truck to a reported disturbance call at Diamond Billiards on Southwest Pine Island Road earlier in the night.
Officers identified the driver as Marcus Selby, 24, and attempted a second traffic stop, but he again fled, police said.
The officer was able to see the driver's face before he fled, who was recognized from the earlier incident, and provided a description that matched Selby.
The Florida Highway Patrol later spotted the truck near Pondella Road and Barrett Road, where a trooper performed a PIT maneuver, causing the vehicle to crash.
They say Selby ran from the scene but turned himself in to authorities the next day.
At the time of his arrest, a family member who owned the truck provided a sworn statement stating Selby did not have permission to take the truck and wished to press charges.
Selby is facing multiple charges, including two counts of fleeing and eluding and driving with a suspended license, aggravated fleeing and eluding, leaving the scene of a crash, driving with a suspended license, and grand theft.
