A Naples woman was arrested after being accused of making false reports to law enforcement officers.
On Jan. 31, officers with the Naples Police Department responded to the Collier County Growth Management Office on North Horseshoe Drive.
Police said Mollie Messuri, 34, reported being the victim of a battery that occurred in the office lobby.
During investigations, officers said Messuri gave police written and verbal statements under oath.
According to the press release, Messuri alleged that two neighbors, with whom she said she had an ongoing dispute, pushed, grabbed and shoved her.
Messuri also told the police that her hair was pulled and the papers she was holding were ripped during the physical altercation.
Detectives confirmed through both interviews and surveillance video that the report and allegations Messuri made never happened.
Following investigations, Messuri was arrested and is facing charges of filing a false report to law enforcement.
