DeSoto County deputies arrested a man accused of leaving the scene of a crash and driving without a license.
The DeSoto County Sheriff's Office said they responded to reports of a hit-and-run at SE Hargrave Street and SE Third Avenue on Monday.
Deputies said they saw a damaged stop sign and the driver, William Bair, had driven away from the scene.
DCSO said another deputy found Bair and directed him to go back to the scene.
Investigations revealed that Bair was driving without a license, according to the press release.
Bair was arrested and taken to the DeSoto County Jail where he is facing charges of operating a vehicle without a license and leaving the scene of a crash with property damage.
DeSoto County deputies said Bair has since been released on bond.
