PulteGroup unveils its first-ever robotic-built home in Babcock Ranch on Wednesday.
Through a partnership with FastBrick Robotics, the Hadrian X robotic brick-laying system will construct the walls of a home in just one day, according to a press release from DiVOSTA.
Benjamin Crisafulli, Vice President of sales at PulteGroup, said that getting to test this new innovation is really special and important to them.
"This is going to help us with quality, with labor shortages, and just provide a better home," said Crisafulli.
The Hadrian X laid down one brick at a time as it built the foundation of a home at TerraWalk in Babcock Ranch, which is located at 12532 Quartz Drive.
This innovation is designed to build the walls of a home in a single day.
PulteGroup's Division Manager of Procurement, Nick Palomba, said the Hadrian X is based out of Australia and is the only one here in the Unites States. The machine can map out the footprint of the home, lay the block in a space of air, and, reduce waste.
This breakthough aims to support the solar powered community of the Terrawalk neighborhood by practicing sustainability.
The cutting-edge technology also aims to help with labor shortages.
Palomba said this new technology isn't a job replacement, rather it helps with filling the gaps when workers are limited.
As for if the PulteGroup will continue to use this technology to build homes, they said that is not planned out yet as today was just a test.
