A Fort Myers woman accused of hoarding and multiple counts of animal cruelty is wanted after failing to appear in court for a mandatory hearing.
Luuly Quang, 67, had previously been arrested after authorities found sick and malnourished cats living in unlivable conditions inside her home.
According to the Lee County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were called to the woman’s home after she had received multiple citations for animal-related violations.
When she opened the door, officers were hit with a strong ammonia smell and saw several sickly cats, some of which had to be euthanized.
Authorities said the house was covered in feces, with open cans of moldy cat food, expired food in the refrigerator and an overwhelming infestation of bugs.
After serving six months in jail, the woman was released under the condition that she attend future court hearings, but she has since failed to appear.
Quang is described as 5 feet, 4 inches tall and weighing 165 pounds. Her last known location was in East Fort Myers.
Officials said she will be held without bond once arrested. Anyone with information on her whereabouts is urged to contact law enforcement.
