A Lehigh Acres man with a long history of felony crimes is wanted again after failing to check in with pretrial services following his latest arrest.
Michael Seward, 42, who has been arrested 31 times locally, had been released from jail under the condition that he report to his pretrial officer within 24 hours, but weeks have passed with no sign of him.
According to the Lee County Sheriff’s Office, the man was last arrested after officers found him parked late at night in the far back corner of a hotel parking lot known for criminal activity.
When officers approached, they said they spotted drugs and paraphernalia in plain view near the driver’s seat. Tests later confirmed the substance was methamphetamine, leading to his arrest and another booking downtown.
Seward's criminal history dates back to his first felony at age 15 for grand theft, and he has since been jailed for offenses including battery, resisting arrest, robbery, drug charges, contempt and fraudulent use of credit cards.
Authorities say Seward is 5 feet, 5 inches tall, weighs 140 pounds and may be using the alias Markerl Pooky Thomas to avoid arrest. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to contact law enforcement.
