The Savannah Bananas are bringing their unique brand of baseball to Fort Myers this weekend with three games at JetBlue Park.
"We're on the field doing crazy shows, doing crazy walkups, doing crazy antics," said Correlle Prime of the Savannah Bananas. "We get to just be ourselves, our personalities come out, and it's an amazing product."
Sean Fluke of the Party Animals added, "There's so much to watch, there's never a boring moment."
"It's one of the best sporting events out there I would have to say."
The Bananas, often compared to the Harlem Globetrotters of baseball, entertain fans with trick plays, mid-game dances, and some of the wackiest rules in sports.
For example, if a fan catches a foul ball, it counts as an out.
Each inning is worth one point, and on walks, every infielder must touch the ball before the runner can stop.
They even feature a dancing umpire and rehearsed skits.
The Bananas face off against the Party Animals Friday at 7 p.m. Gates at JetBlue Park opened at 5:30 p.m.
With tickets sold out, fans are advised to arrive early to avoid heavy traffic. Parking costs $20 and is cash-only.
