The Savannah Bananas are in town, bringing excitement to the Gulf Coast alongside the Valentine's Day rush. Fans are flocking to local spots like The Saucy Meatball for a night full of surprises and energy.
With the iconic baseball team in town for the weekend, the crowds have been even bigger than usual. At The Saucy Meatball in Gateway, owner Alex Basile and his team were ready for the challenge, serving up delicious dishes and keeping the atmosphere lively.
"Today was a fun day. It's Valentine's Day, of course. And nonetheless, we had the amazing Savannah bananas come. So, it was just a little double whammy at once," Basile said.
Basile shared that the restaurant was already packed with diners enjoying their Valentine's Day meals, and the addition of the Savannah Bananas fans took it to a whole new level.
"I'm staffed up. I have an army in there, and they kick butt. So, I have, just, like I said, the best backup I can back there," Basile said.
