Three people, including two convicted felons, were arrested Thursday after deputies found fentanyl and other illegal drugs while executing a search warrant at a suspected drug house.
According to the Collier County Sheriff's Office, detectives, assisted by the CCSO SWAT Team, searched a home on Carlton Street following reports of ongoing drug activity. Deputies had responded to multiple complaints at the residence over the past year.
During the search, authorities seized fentanyl, methamphetamine and crack cocaine, along with drug paraphernalia. Three people who were inside the home at the time of the raid were arrested.
Edward Arthur Valadez, 29, faces charges of possession of fentanyl, possession of methamphetamine and possession of narcotic equipment. Mark Dirisre Dieujuste, 40, and Megan Marie Groves, 38, both convicted felons, face charges of possession of narcotic equipment.
“I am committed to ridding our community of fentanyl and arresting the individuals who peddle and abuse this poison,” Sheriff Kevin Rambosk said in a statement.
All three suspects were taken into custody, and the investigation remains ongoing.
