The Charlotte County Sheriff's Office says there's an ongoing investigation at the base of the U.S. 41 bridge in Port Charlotte.
Southbound U.S. 41 is currently closed.
Punta Gorda police are investigating with the help of the Charlotte County Sheriff's Office.
