Family Initiative is set to host its first-ever Autism Walk on Sunday, bringing the community together to support individuals with autism and their families.
The event, sponsored by the Golisano Foundation, will begin at 11 a.m. with a 0.2-mile walk starting at City Tavern and ending at All Children’s Park in Centennial Park.
Organizers say the free, family-friendly event will feature vendors offering resources for families, as well as a variety of food trucks for attendees to enjoy.
Participants will receive an event T-shirt and a Family Initiative swag bag upon registration.
The walk aims to raise awareness and foster a supportive environment for the autism community in Southwest Florida.
