Get ready to be Greek for the weekend. For 50 years, the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church along Cypress Lake Drive in Fort Myers has been showcasing authentic Greek food and dancing at its annual Greek Fest. This year, it is getting ready to make this event bigger than ever before.
Joanna Pastrikos joined Gulf Coast News to explain how you can enjoy the amazing Greek food while supporting the church.
It’s a weekend-long event that starts Friday, Feb. 21, and runs through Sunday, Feb. 23. It will be going on from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Then, on Sunday, it will be from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
On Friday only, you can enjoy curbside carryout from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. This is preorders only and you can contact the church office for the menu.
After a multiyear hiatus, the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church is pleased to announce that its full-scale Carinal is back this year. There will be many rides and games to enjoy. It is $25 for the unlimited daily carnival pass. The unlimited carnival pass for the entire three-day weekend is $50.
Admission to the event for the full three days is $5 for adults. Kids under 12 are free, as well as parking.
