A woman accused of breaking into a Fort Myers beauty store to steal hair extensions is now wanted after violating the terms of her community control, often called house arrest.
According to Crime Stoppers, Ivorynia Bryant and several others are accused of using a cinderblock to smash the front window of a store before taking more than $2,000 worth of wigs, hair extensions and cash from the register.
When police caught up with Bryant shortly after the break-in, she allegedly had no explanation for why the stolen items were in her car.
Bryant was arrested and spent a short time behind bars before being released under house arrest. However, officials say she recently violated those terms, leading to a new warrant for her arrest.
Bryant, who is described as 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighs 120 pounds, has an extensive criminal history, including 39 prior arrests in Lee and DeSoto counties.
Her previous charges include burglary, theft, drug possession, resisting arrest, fraud, dealing in stolen property and passing fake checks.
Detectives believe she may be using the alias Tenesha Dennis to avoid arrest.
Bryant was last known to live in Tice, and authorities are asking for the public’s help in locating her.
