A Lee County man is in jail, accused of stealing thousands of dollars worth of property from a social media influencer's home in Martin County last month.
"They spent three hours in the house going through the different property in the house recovering stealing high-end bags, handbags, high-end jackets, high-end clothing, shoes," Martin County Sheriff John Budensiek said.
The burglary took place in the gated Cobblestone-Stuart West community.
The sheriff believes the suspect is part of an "international Cuban burglary ring."
"Like, I grew up here I never in a million years would have thought in a million years that something like this would happen here. But again, I guess the attention I sometimes attract makes people come to places like this, which I take full responsibility for that," Domenic Iacovoine, president and founder of Raw Nutrition, said.
The suspect reportedly monitored the victim's social media accounts and disabled the cameras and cut the power when the victim was away.
The suspect then made off with hundreds of thousands of dollars in property.
Investigators are still going over evidence gathered at the suspect's Lehigh Acres home located in Lee County.
The victim is offering a $10,000 reward.
