A Lehigh Acres woman is wanted for violating probation after being found guilty of stealing cash from her employer. The woman had been convicted of stealing cash on 13 occasions while working at an airport gift shop.
According to Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers, Melissa Murr was an employee of an airport gift show, had access to the store’s cash register, and took amounts ranging from $50 to $370.
After noticing financial discrepancies, store managers reviewed surveillance footage, which showed Murr pocketing the money.
She was fired by the employer, arrested, and later found guilty.
Murr was sentenced to two months in the Lee County Jail before being placed on probation.
Crime Stoppers said Murr violated her probation last week. Court records indicate she has been booked into jail nine times for additional offenses, including hit-and-run, drug-related charges, and battery.
Murr is described as being 5 feet, 6 inches tall and weighing 150 pounds. Authorities noted that she has multiple tattoos, including an anchor on her right ankle, a ribbon on her right arm, and the phrase “live, laugh, love” on her left wrist.
