A man sentenced to death for hiring hit men to kill his wife in Bonita Springs a decade ago is asking the court to reconsider a previous ruling regarding sealed records.
In 2015, Mark Sievers hired Curtis Wayne Wright to stage a home invasion and kill his wife - Doctor Theresa Sievers.
Wright also got help from Jimmy "The Hammer" Rodgers to kill Dr. Sievers in exchange for nearly $100,000 in life insurance money.
Sievers was found guilty and sentenced to death in 2020.
His attorney is now asking the judge for records sealed by the Medical Examiner's Office who says they don't think the records are relevant.
Sievers will be in the courtroom at 1:30 p.m. on Monday.
