A man was arrested after being accused of stealing a van from a Holiday Inn Express and crashing into Smash Fitness in Bonita Springs.
The Lee County Sheriff's Office responded to the Holiday Inn Express on Crown Lake Boulevard for reports of a carjacking.
When deputies arrived, they said the suspect, Adam Naylor, 42, approached a van in the parking lot and forcefully demanded the driver to get out.
After a physical altercation, Naylor reportedly stole the vehicle and sped away.
LCSO said they received an additional call shortly after, reporting that a car that matched the description of the stolen vehicle had crashed into Smash Fitness.

Deputies searched the area wth multiple K9 units before finding Naylor hiding inside the Smash Fitness.
LCSO said Naylor was the driver and only one in the vehicle. He was arrested and now faces charges of carjacking, DUI, property damage and leaving the scene of a crash.
The investigation remains active by the Lee County Sheriff's Office.
