The Cape Coral Animal Shelter is on a mission to save even more abandoned, abused, neglected, and at-risk animals.
On Wednesday, the shelter broke ground on its new expansion. The project will more than triple its current space with an additional 19,000 square feet.
Their existing building will be transformed into a larger, low-cost community veterinary clinic.
