A hot air balloon was spotted floating over Cape Coral Thursday morning, catching the attention of residents who are not used to seeing the aerial spectacle.

The balloon was seen at one point near SW 18th Street and SW 17th Avenue.
Hot air balloons are not a common sight in the area, making the morning display a bit more unusual.
Some people captured photos and videos as the balloon drifted above neighborhoods.
It is unclear who was operating the balloon or where it took off and landed. Hot air balloons typically require specific weather conditions, and their flights are carefully planned.
