Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers is searching for a Fort Myers man with a history of drug-related crimes after he failed to appear in court last week.
According to Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers, Billy Woodard, 50, was initially arrested in November for selling fentanyl in North Fort Myers and released after a month in jail. He has since skipped his scheduled court appearance, leading to a new warrant for his arrest.
Crime Stopper adds that Woodard had been under investigation by narcotics detectives when he was accused of selling the drug. After his release, he was expected to return for a court hearing but has avoided authorities instead.
Records show he has a history of criminal activity, including charges for resisting law enforcement, hit-and-run, driving under the influence, and multiple drug offenses.
Recently, Woodard was also accused of having 88 grams of cocaine, which he allegedly disguised in a bottle labeled as a dietary supplement.
Crime Stoppers believe he may be hiding in central Fort Myers. Woodard is described as 6 feet tall, weighing 170 pounds. Anyone with information about his whereabouts is urged to contact law enforcement.
If you have information in this case, contact Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers at 800-780-TIPS (8477), on the P3 app, or on its website . You can remain anonymous, and if your tip leads to an arrest, you may be eligible for a cash reward up to $3,000.
