HCA is expanding its health care services in Lee County with a new emergency room set to open along Alico Road and Three Oaks Parkway.
The new facility will be the fourth free-standing emergency room in Southwest Florida, similar to the recently opened HCA Florida Healthcare emergency room on College Parkway in Fort Myers.
"It's good to know that there's options," said Natalie Monti of Estero. "I had a situation where I needed to go to a hospital, and and I wasn't sure where to go. So it's nice to know that there's more options."
In addition to the new emergency room, HCA has also acquired the Lehigh Regional Medical Center, which will now be known as HCA Florida Lehigh Hospital.
The Lehigh facility is located along Lee Boulevard, just west of Homestead Road.
Residents can expect the HCA Florida Alico Emergency to open its doors in 2026.
