The Lee County Port Authority will hold a groundbreaking ceremony for Concourse E at Southwest Florida International Airport (RSW) for a project that will add 14 new gates.

The groundbreaking will be held on Wednesday, March 12, at 10 a.m. The event marks a major milestone in Terminal Expansion Phase 2, a $1.1 billion project that began enabling work on Oct. 1, 2024.
The expansion will add 14 additional gates to accommodate the anticipated increase in passengers at RSW.
