Deputies arrested two convicted felons and seized a large amount of illegal drugs and firearms during a search in Golden Gate Estates on Thursday.
According to the Collier County Sheriff’s Office, Vice and Narcotics Bureau detectives, with the help of SWAT, executed a search warrant at a home on 10th Street Northeast.
During the search, investigators found multiple fentanyl-laced pills, 37.7 grams of methamphetamine, 11 firearms, live ammunition, methadone, and drug paraphernalia.
CCSO said the fentanyl pills were designed to mimic prescription oxycodone hydrochloride pills, which have led to overdoses when unsuspecting users believed they were legitimate painkillers.
Deputies arrested Kyle Austin Large, 34, on charges of trafficking methamphetamine, possession of fentanyl, possession of a firearm or ammunition by a convicted felon, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Chanda Jeanell Palmer, 46, was arrested on charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of fentanyl, possession of methadone, possession of a firearm or ammunition by a convicted felon, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Both suspects have previous felony convictions in Collier County.
