A 42-year-old Sebring man is facing multiple charges for possessing files depicting the sexual abuse of children.
According to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, an investigation started in January when FDLE agents learned an online user was offering to share child sexual exploitation files.
Investigators identified the user's address as belonging to Frank Ralph Boyan.
A residential search warrant was conducted on Feb. 12, where agents and analysts seized electronic devices. According to FDLE, a preliminary digital forensic analysis located multiple files depicting child sex abuse.
Boyan was arrested on Monday and taken to the Highlands County Jail. He was arrested on eight counts of possession of child sexual abuse material.
The FDLE Fort Myers cybercrime unit is investigating the case, and the Sebring Police Department also helped during the search warrant and arrest.
