The Florida Commission on Ethics has found no probable cause in a complaint against Collier County Supervisor of Elections Melissa Blazier, clearing her of allegations related to the use of county resources in a campaign advertisement.
According to the commission, the complaint alleged that Blazier misused her position by featuring county-funded video footage and on-duty county employees in a personal campaign ad.
After reviewing the case, the commission determined that the evidence did not support the claims and dismissed the complaint.
Blazier, who was appointed as supervisor of elections in 2023.
The Florida Commission on Ethics, an independent body overseeing public officials' conduct, evaluates complaints to determine whether ethics violations have occurred.
If violations are found, penalties such as fines or removal from office can be recommended. However, in Blazier’s case, no further action will be taken.
