Deputies are searching for a man accused of missing a court appearance following his arrest for battery.
Makens Cypres, 27, has reportedly been in hiding for a month. Deputies said he was involved in a dispute with a woman while a 1-year-old infant was nearby.
Deputies said the argument escalated and Cypres picked up the infant by its arms before dropping it on the ground.
According to reports, Cypres then grabbed the woman by her neck and choked her nearly to the point of unconsciousness.
