The Charlotte County Sheriff's Office arrested a man accused of assaulting a masseuse after reportedly requesting sexual favors.

Joseph James Dixon, 30, was arrested on Thursday after visiting the Lotus Spa on Tamiami Trail in Port Charlotte.
According to the arrest report, Dixon went into the salon and spoke with a 69-year-old woman who was an employee.
The woman reportedly told Dixon that he must pay for the massage before she began the service.
Deputies said that's when Dixon became irritated and demanded sexual favors from the woman.
When she refused, deputies said Dixon became violent and grabbed her before kicking and punching her.
The arrest report said an employee heard the victim screaming, and when he came out to see what was happening he reportedly found Dixon attacking the woman.
The witness reportedly tried to break up the fight before Dixon headbutted him. Dixon was eventually removed from the spa.
A third witness reportedly overheard Dixon and the second witness arguing before stepping in and restraining him before deputies arrived on scene.
Deputies said the woman suffered bruising on her body and she was taken to the hospital for treatment.
Dixon was arrested and is facing charges of battery of two people over the age of 65 an battery by intentional touch or strike.
