Girl Scouts help out in Cape Coral. In “Positively Gulf Coast,” they’ve helped animals in need at the Cape Coral Animal Shelter & Veterinary Clinic.
The shelter posted photos of a Scout named Coral and her fellow Scouts. The shelter said, “As part of their bronze award project, they handcrafted cat scratchers from repurposed Girl Scout cookie case boxes.” The shelter added that those boxes are an eco-friendly way for the cats to keep their claws busy.
The scouts collected and donated 72 cans of dog food and 60 cans of cat food, among other donations.
