Filling out a perfect March Madness bracket is virtually impossible. The odds of picking every single game correctly is one in 9.2 quintillion. You would have better odds of winning the lottery three straight times, getting struck by lightning five times, or picking one singular grain of rice out of all of the rice ever harvested in the world's history.
Yet every March, basketball fans and novices alike fill out their brackets believing this year is the year.
So, is filling out a perfect bracket all about luck? Or do you need the knowledge and skill to find perfection? Well, it's probably a little bit of both.
Gulf Coast News's Jaron May set out to answer those questions and try to fill out a perfect bracket. He went to the Vi at Bentley Village senior living community in Naples, FL to get some help with the selections.
