A Cape Coral man is once again wanted by authorities after violating probation connected to a burglary in which he admitted stealing tools to raise money for his incarcerated girlfriend.
According to Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers, a warrant was issued last week for the arrest of Ricky Kenyon, 31.
Investigators said Kenyon and several others broke into a local plumbing company in the middle of the night and took more than $5,000 in power tools and $500 worth of copper.
The group reportedly jumped a fence and rummaged through several vehicles before leaving with the stolen items.
Detectives traced the theft back to Kenyon, who confessed to selling the tools for $400 to a known criminal.
He told investigators he needed the money to support his girlfriend, who was in jail at the time. Kenyon served four months in jail before being released on probation, which he has since violated.
Crime Stoppers said Kenyon is a four-time offender with previous charges including fraud, resisting, and grand theft.
He is described as 5 feet, 10 inches tall, weighing 175 pounds, with a rosary and footprints tattooed on his left arm, and the Sagittarius sign with “ride or die” inked on his right arm.
