A longtime volunteer with the Cape Coral Police Department died this week, leaving behind a legacy of community service and compassion.
According to the Cape Coral Police Department, Stanley T. Maliszewski had been a member of the Police Volunteer Unit since 2003, contributing thousands of hours to the community over more than two decades.
He moved to Cape Coral in 1999 and quickly became a valued and beloved part of the team, CCPD said.
Maliszewski was known for his kindness, dedication and willingness to serve. Fellow volunteers and officers described him as a selfless individual whose work left a lasting impact on those around him.
The department expressed its condolences to Maliszewski’s family and friends, saying he will be deeply missed. Maliszewski is survived by his three children.
