Englewood Beach in Charlotte County will reopen the southern entrance of it's parking lot on April 2, giving pedestrians access to the beach.
There will also be a park and ride service to the beach from Tringali Park located at 3460 N. Access Road in Englewood.
Due to safety concerns, the rest of Englewood Beach park will remain closed. Portable restrooms will be available for civilians to use.
People are advised to only use designated “dune walk through” access points and to be alert for possible hazards.
