Firefighters are battling a brush fire that has burned over 400 acres within Okaloacoochee Slough State Forest in Hendry County.
According to the Florida Forest Service, as of 2:12 p.m. Friday, the fire has grown to 430 acres and 60% of it is contained.
Officials said no homes or structures are out there, and nothing is in danger at this time.
FFS said crews do several controlled burns out there, so it should help with containment.
