Boys in Lee County high schools and middle schools are learning from leaders in the community as part of the fourth annual Young Men LEAD Summit.
The Foundation for Lee County Public Schools held the summit in late March. The summit is all about leadership development, personal growth and empowerment.
“The opportunity for these young men to network and engage with local male role models was invaluable,” said Marshall T. Bower, Esq., president and CEO of the Foundation for Lee County Public Schools. “It was also refreshing and empowering to hear our male students discussing their own ideas on growth and leadership. The future appears to be in good hands!”
Speakers at the summit included Sam Fisher, serving as board chair of the Lee County School Board; Zavian McLean, FGCU men's basketball player; Dr. Selynto Anderson, Ph.D., chief community health and impact officer at Lee Health; and Neftali Feliciano, chief executive officer of the Cancer Alliance Network.
