Lee County homeowners can now pre-apply for...

LEE COUNTY, Fla. —

Income-eligible homeowners in Lee County whose properties were damaged during hurricanes Helene or Milton in 2024 can now begin the pre-application process for housing recovery programs.

According to the county, you can pre-apply for the LeeCares Hurricane Housing Recovery Programs leeflcares.com .

This is the first step in a process that may result in funding through a federal Housing and Urban Development grant.

After completing the initial screening, applicants will need to submit a full application to continue.

Assistance is available for those who need help applying. Residents can call 239-382-5453 or visit the LeeCares Intake Center at 9400 Gladiolus Drive, Suite 270, in south Fort Myers.

The center is open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday.
