A viral video showing two anglers arguing on the Peace River has garnered over seven million views on Facebook.
The incident prompted an investigation by Punta Gorda police and the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC).
The video captures the boaters arguing about lights while fishing under the 41 Bridge. The argument escalates when one of the boaters climbs aboard the other’s boat in what appears to be an act of river rage.
Eventually, the boater climbed back onto his own boat.
Punta Gorda police released a statement saying a police report was filed, and the FWC, U.S. Coast Guard and police are investigating. The department is asking people not to continue calling them about this incident.
