A Southwest Florida man is back on law enforcement’s radar after violating probation stemming from a high-speed chase that ended in a crash.
According to Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers, Shaquon Georg, 27, was spotted by Florida Highway Patrol troopers just after midnight speeding along State Road 82.
When they tried to stop him, they say he briefly pulled over before speeding off again, reaching more than 100 mph.
Witnesses reported the car driving into oncoming lanes and veering off the road before flipping into a ditch. He was arrested and behind bars for about a month on charges of fleeing and eluding and driving with a suspended license.
Crime Stoppers said he was released on probation, which he violated last week.
Records show he has eight prior arrests for crimes including grand theft, burglary, drug possession and battery. He is described as 5 feet, 7 inches tall, weighing about 140 pounds, and was last known to live in Dunbar.
