Get ready to celebrate the music of Jerry Herman. "Jerry's Girls" is coming to the Gulf Coast Symphony, and it's bringing a broad spectrum of some of the greatest hits that Jerry wrote for female performers.
Lexi Rae Smith, Desire Gaston and Susan Chidester, along with Music Director Douglas Reed, gave Gulf Coast News a sneak peek into the magical world of Jerry Herman's music.
Jerry Herman wrote some classic Broadway hits like "Hello Dolly," "Mame," "La Cage Aux Folles," and "Mack & Mabel." "Jerry's Girls" shows three performers tackling a songbook boasting some of the greatest songs ever performed on stage. From solos, duos and trios, the show is a light, fun and charming romp showcasing Herman's talent.
Desire Gaston also showcased one of the songs you can expect to hear in the show, "If He Walked into My Life."
"Jerry's Girls" is playing at the Music & Arts Community Center from April 9 to April 25. Tickets start at $55. For more information, check out the Gulf Coast Symphony online.
